Each year, Verizon awards one of their authorized retailers with the coveted title of “Agent of the Year.” TCC is thrilled to announce that we were named the 2024 Verizon Agent of the Year! This is our third year in a row achieving this honor, and we also won this award for a fourth time in 2019. Thank you to our incredible team that helped make this goal a reality again!
This award is based on excellence in sales, customer service, and philanthropy. At TCC, we are proud to excel at all three. Besides offering the best devices on Verizon’s award-winning network, we place an emphasis on giving back to our local communities all year long.
We also have an “employees-first” philosophy which makes TCC a company that people genuinely enjoy working for. Because of this mindset, we were named a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2024 and have been named a Top Workplace USA for four consecutive years in a row. These awards are extra special to us because there is no nomination process – they’re solely based on anonymous employee feedback.
Giving Back
At TCC, giving back isn’t something we take lightly. It’s built into our company’s DNA. We have four community events throughout the year that give back to different groups:
Teachers Rock: We donate school supplies to local teachers to show our appreciation. Last year, we also bought out $10,000 worth of Amazon wish lists for teachers.
Rescues Rock: We partner with local animal shelters and collect pet supplies donations. Select locations also host in-store pet adoption events. Last year, we also awarded six animal rescue organizations with a $10,000 grant.
School Rocks: The event that started it all! Every TCC store hosts an in-store event giving away free backpacks to local students. We have hosted this event for 12 years and donated over 1.4 million backpacks. Last year, we also hid a special golden ruler in 10 backpacks across the nation. The student who received the golden ruler won $100 for themselves and $1,000 for their school.
Rock the Pantry: Each store partners with a local food bank and collects nonperishable food donations. We also donated $30,000 to Hunger Fight, a nonprofit working ot eradicate childhood hunger and illiteracy.
Giving Through Grants
Four times a year, employees have the opportunity to partner with a nonprofit organization and submit for a community grant, worth up to $10,000. To date, we have donated over $4.3 million through 1,148 employee-sponsored grants.
Get10Give10
We also give back to our customers through Get10Give10! We partner with Wireless Zone® for this program and team up to give lucky customers $20,000 each quarter. The randomly selected winner receives $10,000 for themselves plus an additional $10,000 to donate to a nonprofit of their choice. Learn more.
